Together with our fantastic trustees: Stuart Ashman, Fiona Carr, Sandra Pera, Viv Quick, Siân Slee-Evans and Sarah Webb, Voices of Aphasia was founded in August 2023 by Co-directors and music therapists Denise Wong and Laura Cook.

All VOA trustees are current members of the Bath Aphasia Choir and are people affected by aphasia, including stroke survivors with aphasia, present carer of people with aphasia, widows of people with aphasia and professionals who worked closely with people with aphasia). Siân is a specialist Speech & Language Therapist in the Bath and North East Somerset Community Stroke and Neuro Team.
