This is the Bath Aphasia Choir! See below for videos of the choir singing or any past performances and even some interviews of our members.
The most recent videos are from after Voices of Aphasia the charity has been established. All other videos are considered in our archive and were from when the choir was operating as a volunteer group under the Stroke Association.
We hope the videos can provide a sense of how it’s like to sing, be part of our lovely choir and notice how we’ve grown and continue to flourish over the years!

How Can I Keep from Singing – Bath Aphasia Choir
This video includes interviews with some of our choir members about what the choir means to them and their loved ones. The second half is a performance of our song ‘How Can I Keep From Singing’, which includes lyrics written by our choir members about their experiences of having aphasia and recovering from stroke.
Archive Videos – Stroke Association days
The video below was kindly made by Virgin Care, who supported the choir through their Feel The Difference fund. The performance took place at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, and patients from the Acute Stroke Unit were able to watch the choir sing.
These are some of our warmups, designed to strengthen and protect voices which may be rarely used to speak, and to improve the quality and volume of our singing.
Some footage of our performance at Bristol Beacon, as part of UWE Bristol’s Festival of Sound 2018.
A rehearsal of Singing In The Rain, complete with conducting from a choir member!
