Joining the aphasia choir is the best decision I have made.

I like it with the choir, with my friends, it raises my confidence!
I find the singing routine very helpful and enjoy it (Alan)
Meeting friends, vocal exercises improving (eee ah ah ah), love the singing and Harmonica solos! (Keith)

The choir improved my [late] husband’s mental health, gave him hope and pleasure.
Joining ‘Voices of Aphasia’ has encouraged me to carry on instead of giving up on life. Since coming to choir I have met many friends who have been very encouraging and supportive.

I have loved attending the choir it is such a welcoming and friendly environment. I have enjoyed meeting other stroke partners and carers. A very positive environment to be in.
Thanks to the Aphasia Choir I am not alone. Because singing join us together, makes us strong and hopeful.

[My husband] is always surprised how people cope with their problems, which spurs him on to cope with his.
As a volunteer, I always feel uplifted by the choir – the songs and the members.
