When our friends at Bristol After Stroke invited our aphasia choir to perform at their annual Wellbeing day, of course we said Yes! Our charity directors, Laura and Denise, as well as a trustee, Stu, spoke on the panel of health professionals and wellbeing specialists, sharing the joy and friendship our aphasia choirs bring forth to the aphasia community. It was a full day of amazing talks from people within the stroke community, carers, professionals, charity staff and volunteers.
Our Bath Aphasia Choir ended the day with a fantastic performance – aside from our choir doing the singing, of course, we also encouraged the audience to “give it a go,” echoing the theme of the day.
We used this great opportunity to let everybody know that Voices of Aphasia is now running an aphasia choir service in Bristol, which started in early October 2025.
